Nitro-X is a Summer Camp where middle schoolers work on remote controlled cars. They learn about how vehicles work, build their confidence with technical skills, work in teams to develop life and employability skills, gain exposure to industry by going on tours of local businesses and have fun showing off their skills at the end of the week with a race.

Career Exploration Trailer
The Minnesota State Transportation Center of Excellence’s Career Exploration Trailer contains Interactive and hands-on activities that let students explore the high tech side of transportation careers in Automotive Service, Auto Body & Collision, Heavy Equipment, Heavy Truck and Diesel, Marine & Powersports, Professional Truck Driver, Aviation, UAV (drone), Automotive Engineering, Rail, etc. The trailer is available to travel to high schools like a mobile classroom or is available for career events where it will be parked for the duration of the event.

About the Executive Board
The Minnesota State Transportation Center of Excellence Executive Board is comprised of leadership from education and industry across Minnesota. This includes representation from the various transportation sectors of; Automotive Service, Auto Body & Collision, Heavy Equipment, Heavy Truck and Diesel, Marine & Powersports, Professional Truck Driver, Aviation, UAV (drone), Automotive Engineering, Railroad, etc. industry associations, K-12, government, higher ed. and business that meet to identify and address the challenges of the Transportation workforce.
